This book is a page turner. I loved loved this book. It’s like the movie Jumpers but different. And it’s from my favourite company: Entangled Publishing. I can’t get enough of their books.
Here is the Goodreads Blurb:
Gia Kearns would rather fight with boys than kiss them. That is, until Arik, a leather clad hottie in the Boston Athenaeum, suddenly disappears. While examining the book of world libraries he abandoned, Gia unwittingly speaks the key that sucks her and her friends into a photograph and transports them into a Paris library, where Arik and his Sentinels—magical knights charged with protecting humans from the creatures traveling across the gateway books—rescue them from a demonic hound.
Jumping into some of the world’s most beautiful libraries would be a dream come true for Gia, if she weren’t busy resisting her heart or dodging an exiled wizard seeking revenge on both the Mystik and human worlds. Add a French flirt obsessed with Arik and a fling with a young wizard, and Gia must choose between her heart and her head, between Arik’s world and her own, before both are destroyed.
I loved Gia. She’s a bookworm, very much like I was and still am. Then she a boy disappear into a book and she has to have answers. But in doing so she gets herself and her friends pulled into this world that she had no idea existed.
Gia is strong, clever and funny. I like how she was a little weary to the new world. She didn’t just dip her feet in, she jumped right in but she knew when to step back and realise that she wasn’t ready yet.
The writing was great. You are not dumped into the world but are slowly immersed into it. Bit by bit and I loved it. It’s almost like you are really there.
The romance was cute and great. I really loved this story and can’t wait to read the next one. I loved the movie Jumpers but I loved this book even more. I couldn’t put it down and I ended up reading long into the night until I was finished.
